Sadly, that’s about all I got today. I’m supremely depressed about South Dakota — not that things were all that great there in the first place. I read that the SD Planned Parenthood had to fly doctors in from out of state to have any abortion services at all because local SD doctors wouldn’t do the procedure.
Goddamnit, people. I’ve had this argument out loud about fifty times with myself, but what is it that people think abortion is about anyway? Oh, wait — I’ve been told that “statistics say” that most abortions are elective. Well, how the fuck do you define elective, asshole? Becuase from what I’ve been able to find (example ), women who obtain abortion services are doing so because they can’t afford to have a child; half do not have a partner with dependable earnings; and women of childbearing age are disproportionately represented among those of us who do not have health care.
Let me say that again, more obnoxiously, so that those freaks in the blogosphere who think that women get abortions because they are careless, wanton harlots who can’t keep their legs closed get it.
Women in this country have a disproportionately hard time getting health care and making a living wage, particularly low-income women and women of color.
Catch the fuck on, asshole. If you actually care about the “murder of millions of babies,” then sack up and do something about the problem, which is our miserable fucking government that can’t even figure out how to provide trains, much less get them to run on time.

My favorite are the ASSHOLES that do exactly what you said, they are SOOOO against abortion, yet don’t back public funding for health care, poverty assistance, social security, unemployment, and so on and so on. These same ASSHOLES see that as a fucking handout. That to me is THE MOST hypocritical and Neanderthal bull shit that could possible even begin to exist.
I say fuck them… and the worst part is, it is usually a man with those opinions. SO FUCKING TYPICAL.
